Traveling with my brother-in-law who is a certified plane nut, our trip to the Reno Air Races was a different experience for me. Having been to air shows before, traveling to an air race I had no idea of what to expect. For 3 days we had grandstand seating which gave us the perfect spot to watch the action. Beside... More

Yet another well run event by the Assoc. Even though it was crowded it did not feel overwhelming. I don't go often, but when I do Its a pleasure.

We were in Reno on a Sierra Club service trip and realized the air show was happening. Admission was $34 for seniors and well worth the price. Nice bleachers for watching the show. If we had more time we would have purchased a pit pass to see the planes and pilots up close.

The air show was amazing! My husband and I had a fantastic time watching! I must say, my favorite part was when the Blue Angels took to the sky. I was awestruck. At one point they did a flyby so close that it scared me and I grabbed my husband. He thought it was amazing too. We brought home pictures... More

We sat in the grand stand general admission and had fabulous seats all four days. Great show. Only thing I wish they would say what is really happening when there is a accident. My brother was with us and was surprised they did not update the crowd with information. We are all wanting to know what's going on. Funny I... More

Every year we attend the Reno Air races and they are always a good time. The airport does an excellent job in providing good venders, bathroom facilities, pit passes, programs etc. This is a unique opportunity to get up close and personal, meeting the pilots, watching the crew in the pits, seeing the planes challenge a wide open course. This... More

Every September at Stead airport north of Reno a unique week-long event unfolds - the National Championship Air Races. Six classes of racing ranging from tiny Formula 1 aircraft to racing warbirds and jets, and a world-class airshow (this year featuring the Blue Angels) between racing heats. You can watch from the grandstands or walk around the pits and watch... More

Spent three days at Reno Stead watching the air races. They provided a good show with little downtime. The racing was exciting and there were a few chills and spills. There could have been a few more vendors in the pit area but outside there was no lacking of things to see and buy. I will be back.

First time I have attended and loved the show of airplane stunts, races of different aircraft types AND especially the BLUE ANGELS!! Typical fair foods (nothing healthy..) but good information booths and entertainment!! Will go again next year!! I learned later that they offered a shuttle, so wouldn't have to deal with lines of traffic and parking issues. Definitely worth... More

The Reno Air Races are some of the best air show, air races that I have ever seen. Very well organized. Well worth seeing if you love air shows.
