There is a lot to see in this town, but it's worth making a stop to visit this church. The outside is spectacular and there is a museum below. It's perched on the side if the hill with a nice view of the valley below.

St Mary's church is very interesting - be sure to ask questions of docents in the back of the church and in the Mad Monk's Museum in the basement. They are a wealth of fascinating history of the area.

Historic mining town church that is a must see no matter what faith you are. Be sure to see the museum downstairs and the gift shop.

We visited the Catholic church while checking out Virginia City. It is a beautiful church with lovely stained glass windows. The receptionist was very friendly. Was fun to see.

I love going through old churches where ever I travel. They typically tell a side of the towns history that you would not pick up on touring through the rest of a town. St. Mary's is one of those churches.

This church is like stepping back in time! I could have looked at the stain glass windows for hours. The guest service was very informative and friendly.
