We were expecting a military installation and instead found a small town...it was perfect! We were able to tour the houses, spent time with several docents including a weaver and a historian and had a delightful time. The small gift shop held several interesting items...More

The fort is a nice, well maintained recreation of the actual Fort at Number 4. The admission is reasonable ($10), and the tour guide very knowledgeable. The woman that runs the place is very condescending and somewhat demeaning, which somewhat spoils the visit.

Great place to experience history. The Fort regularly puts on events, reenactments and annual dinner. Great place to introduce children to history.

This place is totally not worth the money. We went on a sat afternoon and the parking lot was almost empty. Quite a few of the buildings were locked and couldn't get in to see them. Skip this place.
