Just seeing the construction of the building is worth the visit. It has some great granite and trade work you do not see in modern construction. There are different exhibits that tell the history of New Hampshire. We enjoyed our visit.

I've been to many many states' historical societies, and unfortunately, this wasn't one of the best. I did like the original art that was on display. There was a small section on the history of NH, but not big exhibits like most states have. Seriously,...More

We had some free time during a visit to concord and decided to stop in. The displays are small but interesting. The library is a huge resource for those researching NH history.

While walking around Concord, stopped by to tour the historical society building. You do need to pay a small price to get in. A lot of very nice historical paintings and a few historical artifacts.

The New Hampshire Historical Society, located just a block from the state capitol, lovingly exhibits art, furniture, clothing, and sports equipment that illustrates New Hampshire's rich history. Since the museum is compact, it is easy to see in an hour or so.
