Visited Black River as part of Thomson trip. We arrived and were welcomed onto the Cool Running shoes boat for our trip up the Black River. The Guide was very informative about the wildlife, natural habitat and the local area. Our Guide got very up close and personal with one of the crocs called 'Denise' and these along with the... This was an ok excursion. We went as it was on our way through from YS falls to Pelican Bar so worked out well. A nice pontoon ride and our guide was very knowledgable about the river and history. We saw quite a few crocs and had to walk by Terror on our way out. They took us to the... More

I thought that I would be bored but the boat guide was funny and informative. Loved seeing the vegetation, birds and crocs. I highly recommend this place.

A nice way to spend a 1/2 day away from the resort. Lots of wildlife and crocodiles. It was a comfortable trip and the guides are very knowledgeable. Bring your camera, you won't be disappointed

The first place in Jamaica to get electricity, boat tours, route to pelican bar, home to black river safari and so much more.... Loving this place.

We took the Black river tour, it was great, we saw amazing wildlife, including crocodiles, Big crocs. The guide actually almost gets in the river and feeds them at the boat. This river has its very own eco-system, take the tour and you will understand. A must see, yo

There are many types of birds, which are explained to you. The crocodile experience is worth the trip alone. You get to see them up close and personal with some added surprises. The river is breathtaking and the scenery is amazing. Just sit back and enjoy the 30-45 minute ride.

We had a informative tour of the Black River. The weather was great for a day coasting down the Black River. The only complaint I had was that we saw more wildlife and tour was longer.

Enjoyable hour trip on river. Travelled along quiet stretch of river with informative boatman. Saw several crocs that came up close to boat that made photographing easy. Other things seen were water lilies, birds and mangroves. Boatman explained about life along river and on surrounding marsh. He encouraged crocs by throwing bits of food for them.
