We stumbled on this place on our way to Polly's Pancake Parlor. It was a special find. Robert Frost lived here from 1915-1920. There is a poetry trail through the woods that highlight some of Frost's notable works. The house has a poet-in-residence program, as well as frequent poetry readings and other public events. Gorgeous views in the Fall, and... More

We strolled through the paved trail behind the museum with periodic stops at markers to read Frost's poetry. A nice walk which takes 20-30 minutes.

After seeing his grave in Bennington, this was perfect. This was one of his houses in VT until he moved (got too cold to stay!). He had a great view. Walk the trail of his poetry. That was great. There is a video to see also. Pay to go inside the house.

We stopped here with our kids. The house tour was self guided and you could only go in a few rooms of the house. The other rooms were blocked off. There was a 20 minute video you could watch about Frost and his life. There was not much to see or do here. The view was great, but I wouldn't... More

Frost lived in several places, this is one of the two where he spent the most time. It's a self guided tour, but only half the house is open - the other half is for the poet in residence - even when they're not in residence. 20 minute video, some displays. Still, it's only $5...

The Gardening Club taking responsibility for keeping this historic site going is doing a great job; we had a great time reflecting on the poetry of Robert Frost on the garden walk, and the house is being kept up well. You really get a good felling of what it must have done for the poet to be in that location... More

This is a stop where it's great to ponder your surroundings and the great Robert Frost who called this place home. I loved just sitting on the front porch and taking in the magnificent views of Mt. Lafayette, Liberty and Lincoln, and thinking how those sights inspired Frost in his writing. The 20 minute film in the barn was a... More

Beautiful location and you can sit on the porch that I am sure Mr Frost enjoyed many times. Really special to be able to walk around inside the house too.

The Frost Place does what a memorial should — it keeps the deceased's spirit alive! Robert Frost certainly came to life within us. • We best enjoyed the walking trail, stopping at every post to read the highlighted poem and take pictures. • The house tour is brief but authentic. Rare is the tour that permits you to sit in... More

If you enjoy the poetry of Robert Frost, the Frost Place is an excellent experience to bring his works to life. The trail is moving and the info in the barn enlightening.
