Made a quick stop here and walked to the falls - well the dry summer made these a trickle but still worth a visit. Objectionable people clambering all over the viewing sight detracted from this - I suggest inconsiderate people are pushed over the edge by the park rangers.

I visited here while on a two-week bus tour. Very few of us made the trek to Avalanche Falls. A few started but turned back. There are some steep climbs on gravel and steps that are slippery when wet. It took me about 75 minutes which the pamphlet gives as the approximate time. I enjoyed it.

Very refreshing view in the Flume gorge. Wonderful cool temperatures and great scenery as you hike up to the falls.

We love to search out covered bridges and waterfalls, and this one was rather impressive. A bit of a hike but not terrible - and totally worth it.

The falls are part of the Flume Gorge trail along wooden walkways and bridges through the gorge. The access walks and bridges feel very sturdy and secure. Spring time or after a heavy rain is the best time to visit, but it's beautiful regardless. Not much room for tripods, but you can rest your camera on the wide railings for... More

Part of the flume gorge attraction, a paid attraction. Nice waterfall. Attraction is pricey but worth it at least once.

I imagine this would be an amazing site after a nice rainfall. Walk The Flume trail regardless of whether Avalanche Falls is roaring. Great vies!

This is near the flume gorge and it is near the top of many stairs; easily accessible if you are relatively fit. Lovely views of the water - you can take nice videos following the water all the way down as far as you can see.

Plenty of parking at the trailhead. Challenging hike with many waterfalls, each bigger than the last. We had lunch on a rock under the falls... magic!
