Beautiful and serene in the winter. We were the only people at the lake and it was so peaceful (aside from the road nearby) and the view was gorgeous. I could have sat there all day if it wasn't freezing! If you don't want to hike anywhere but still want to see some nice scenery, this was a good spot.

The lake was very pretty but due to the time of year nothing to do. Saw a lot of deer tracks, some ducks.

We are from Oregon and this lake, bordered by a noisy highway, didn't live up to it's description. It is spring fed, so that may be what is considered to make it special. If you miss seeing Echo Lake, it will be OK

We were there off season. The views were gorgeous, but there weren't any activities. Other visitors told us its still hopping on weekends.

Very clean and beautiful lake that has gorgeous views of Cannon mountain and the surrounding area. What a way to cool off after a day of hiking!!!

Relaxing and beautiful views of Canon Mountain, Echo Lake and Franconia Notch. Sit on the beach and take in the beauty of the area.

Nothing like an "offseason" swim to brighten the day. I visited in mid-September. I was surprised they were still open! $4 to get into the beach, but that meant use of bathrooms/changing area which was an unexpected bonus. I was the only one at the beach on a perfect day (70 degrees). The water was cold but tolerable for a... More

We had lunch here during our hike in the notch. Nice place. Water clean. Beach clean. A bit small for seasoned kayakers.

Very clean beach, best to go early for best parking and if you want to launch a boat/kayak, you have to travel to the boat launch site at next exit No fee to boat

The site is well maintained clean and on a sunny day it's a perfect sized beach to enjoy some water activities with the kids!
