The trails were located at the foot of Mt. Washington and were groomed daily. We really enjoyed the whole experience - from the helpful and friendly staff at the lodge to the variety of trails on the mountain. The trails traversed the mountain up to a lodge with great views. When we were there, we could see the weather station... More

This x-country ski and snowshoe center at the base of Mt. Washington has nicely groomed trails for skiing, and marked trails through the woods for snowshoeing. As you ski along a brook and across a field, you can look up to see Mts. Washington, Adams, and Madison. A tunnel under Rt. 16 connects the ski trails to the center building,... More

Great trail system, waiting to bring my kids back next year. Great grooming and great snow. Today was windy and snowing. They offer great other options like a winter ride up to summit and tubing.

Located at the base of the Auto Road, Great Glen offers quality nordic skiing with groomed trails with gentle hills. Takes about an hour or 90 minutes to make a circuit, faster if skating. Generally better conditions than Jackson Ski Center. Nice lodge with gear sales and restaurant. Friendly stafff

Great Glen is wonderful destination for a day of winter fun for the whole family. The location is stunning with views in clear weather of the backside of Mt. Washington. There are easily accessible and interesting x-country ski and snowshoe trails, with rentals and lessons, a fun sledding hill with tube rentals, fat tire bike rentals, a snow coach up... More

FABULOUS trails that are easy to follow. There are maps with the very helpful "You Are Here" feature, which makes it considerably easier to follow them. The equipment we rented was in good shape, the employees were very helpful, and the cost was very reasonable. We will definitely be back.

We bought season passes at Great Glen for years, but our employment changed and we had to stop buying passes. I think it's been 4 or 5 years since we had skied at Great Glen but when we walked in and saw Howie, Paul, Nate and Sue, they greeted us like we'd never stopped going there! They have great customer... More

Climbing Mt Washington by snowcoach is certainly a great way to go up the mountain, especially in the winter. We were lucky with the weather, no clouds or wind. We rode comfortably in the coach as it ascended to 4,000 feet. The mountain vistas were breathtaking! The Presidential Range was laid out before us to taken in and enjoy their... More

Every worker at Great Glen during my recent visit was very helpful. When you pull into a new ski area, after possibly driving for hours to get there, you just need a little help to get oriented and out on trails. Great Glen is friendly. Trails were well-groomed (for a week day) and trail signage is OK. But views from... More
