Beautiful!

Beautiful in the Fall. Leaves just beginning to change and the colors were beautiful! Would love to spend more time on our next visit.

My husband, parents and I recently went horseback riding at Black Mountain. We have grown up with and have owned horses our whole lives so we were looking forward to it. Needless to say I was very underwhelmed. The man that checked us in clearly wanted to be elsewhere. He actually did take off for a bit(we were early)! We... More

Returned after four decades and found it to be just as pleasurable as it was when the mountain looked like Everest to a 5 year old. Jackson NH is a special kind of place.

One day f the older family ski mountains in beautiful Jackson NH. Enjoy the lostbo pub après ski for some local live entertainment. Old style J bar lift still in operation and visit the horse stable adjacent to the lodge.

A hidden gem of a ski mountain - Black is rarely crowded and always fun. They don't always make snow and rely more on mother nature, but it makes the skiing that much more fun. Tickets are super reasonably priced and they do offer half-day tickets. The mountain has trails for all abilities and is great for families.

Black is the real deal, don't sleep on it. It skis much bigger than it is, especially on good snow days or corn days in the spring. There are great tree lines to be had that are seldom tracked if you are willing to explore. Ticket and beer prices are low. People are friendly. The parking lot won't be too... More

We hiked this mountain via the Chippewa Trail in Benton. It started out easy but did quickly turn steep and challenging for a while. However, the views along the way were beautiful! And, at the top (don't be fooled by some of the other stops that look like the summit), there are beautiful views of Mt. Mooselauke. On the day... More

We took our two dogs on the Black Cap trail which is the 1.2 mile hike to the summit. This trail is very popular with people, families and dogs. The trail starts out fairly easy but the last .5 miles or so is vertical and scrambling over rocks. Make sure you have appropriate footwear. There is an alternate slightly longer... More

Let me start by saying although this is only 1.1 mile to the summit, the majority of the hiking is up hill with rocks, tree limbs. But the hardest is the last 1/3 which you must climb rocks to the summit. Beautiful at the top but I wouldn't classify this as an easy trail. Also the road to the attraction... More
