Great value for the prices

Though it is far from luxurious, it definitely gets the job done. Always seems clean. Food is tasty and affordable.

Was too foggy to get good pics this weekend but with the naked eye you could still make out this natural attraction Since old man of the mountain lost part of his face I think they should point out this landmark Such a beautiful area just south of another beautiful spot Franconia notch then the basin as well as the... 3-4 miles round trip. Easy terrain, but breathtaking views. We went during fall, the surroundings were so beautiful. Also we started around 8 in the morning, therefore there were very few hikers at that time.

A wonderful place to visit. It also has very good food in their resturant. A family atmosphere. A feel safe place.

We enjoyed the views of the mountain, but I would not recommend going on Columbus Day weekend, the lines were very long for everything.

Three miles round trip. If you have two cars you can start at the parking area below the mountain and go up one side and end at the parking lot for the Flume. We went up and back from the Flume - nice to have bathrooms nearby when you are done. It's steep, and long, but so extraordinary at the... More

Lots of parking at the trailhead. We went up the blue trail which was well marked. The trip up is about 3.6 miles; we took our time and the entire hike took about three hours up and down total. It is a 1,300 foot elevation gain and the trail is steep in some parts. I would say it is a... More

Great bang for the buck. We stayed 3 nights and rented a little cottage for our son and his girlfriend and daughter and her husband and our granddaughter. We stayed in a room in the main lodge. We got the meal plan so everyone had breakfast and dinner each day. The food is quite good and very generous portions. We... More

This place used to show a head on the side of the mountain. Apparently it was destroyed around 2003 in a storm (if I recall correctly). The sight though, has installed several poles with notches along the arm which, if sighted along, show you what the actual head looked like. Very neat idea. It can be a bit hard for... More
