Was slightly off our destination which was Mt. Washington but it is right of Rt.113. It is a short walk in from the parking and is amazing. It is the Ayers Rock of NH. It is a one very big boulder to say the least, not to be missed. It was brought to Madison by a Glacier. The history alone... More

Stopped here on our way to Mt Washington. It's a little bit out of the way, but that also means there aren't a lot of people there. Short walk to and around the boulder. Great info signs. Fun to say we've seen it!

In Madison NH there is a really large boulder-- it's really to big to say its a boulder, except it is. It is the largest boulder formed from a glacier anywhere in North America. The walk from the parking lot takes about 15 minutes, walking slowly, but you feel as though you are in the depths of the forest. If... More

A tiny bit off Rt.113, in Madison, N.H. sits a HUGE boulder. Quite honestly, other than it's size, and the history that surrounds it, it is not a "destination" site! If passing through the area, it is worth a stop. There are no other facilities to keep younger folks interest up, so I repeat. Good for a glimpse of history.

It is a bit of a ride through woodsy terrain but a sight you would never see again elsewhere. This boulder is huge!!

Amazing what ice can do. Short 10-minute stroll from the parking area to the boulder (although boulder does not seem the right word for a 6000 ton chunk of rock: too understated). Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.

Stayed at a vacation home on Boulder road. Quick drive down the road and checked it out. Very quick walk from the gate and was pretty neat to see how large it is. Not much else to do, few hiking trails but really had no map to go by. But nonetheless interesting.

Wonderful attraction for kids and adults alike. You learn about glaciers and nature. Low key, free park that is a wonderful drive or ride on a motorcycle.

I love attractions like this. A nice walk up a woodland path, and there she was in all her splendor! Hopefully, someone will come and erase the graffiti off her backside.

This is a quick stop where we were driving on an unpaved, rocky road. We were worried about our car bottoming out several times but you eventually get to a little parking lot. There were a ton of biting deer flies so we used some bug spray and it was a very short walk to see this massive boulder. We... More
