Open seven days 10am-6pmOur museum is the only museum in the country which chronicles the history of the motorcycle policeman. There are 76 motorcycles on display from 1912 to 2005, a movie theater, a workshop where we build a bike a year, a 1948 Indian we built as a Laconia Police motorcycle with uniforms from the forties that you can wear for a souvenir picture , a uniform timeline and so much more.

The Lakes Region of New Hampshire has much to offer tourists and residents alike. This museum is a "must" place to visit. I've visited for each of the last 3 years and am looking forward to another visit this summer. The museum is unique in that it's purpose is to honor the service of policemen and, specifically, motorcycle police and... More

Definitely a Destination in the NH Lakes Region. Terrific cross section of memorabilia for Motorcycle enthusiast and anyone with a love of Motorcycle History. Doug and his wife Michelle were most gracious and knowledgeable hosts. You could feel their passion and support for Veterans and Law enforcement.

This place is off the charts on american heritage , vintage motorcycles and a true tribute to the boys in blue . The amount of awesome history under one roof is hats off to the owner Doug , a retired police officer and a overall great guy ! Been there a few times and always something new . A must... More

I have been visiting this museum for a number of years, usually during the Laconia Bike Week festivities!! They always change it up, year after year, so, if you been once, it maybe different the next season! And, if your lucky enough to catch one of the owners, you may get a one on one informational/personal tour of the collection-worth every... More

I know they are in the process of moving their location but all I can say is the owner Doug has out done himself with this Museum. Some of the best motorcycles ever collected with their history. Boston Police History is on full display here with the tribute motorcycle of their line of duty officers. A must see hope they... More

Noticed as we just drove past that their sign says "closed" and also on their website that they hope to reopen and relocate in 2017. We visit Meredith frequently and never actually visited the museum, but I thought I'd share this news with the TripAdvisor community.

The American Police Motorcycle Museum is a labour of love by its owner, and succeeds on all counts. Whether your interest is motorcycles, policing or general social history, this collection ticks all the boxes. Spread over three floors, it contains a fascinating collection of mainly US police bikes (some quite rare), and all sorts of associated memorabilia. An excellent place... More
