Breathtaking views, peaceful and spiritual experience not to be missed, especially in the fall. Suitable for all.

Took the van tour one mile up to the summit of Mount Washington rather than drive an unfamiliar hire car on the wrong side of the road! Smart move. Entertainment from our excellent driver and guide Rick, well worth it. Will also get you to the top in 30 mins vs. an hour on the cog railway. Take something warm... More

It's a wonderful drive to the summit with plenty of stopping places and viewing areas. It's fascinating to watch the terrain change as you go higher and whilst the summit is rather too touristy for my taste - I was one of the tourists there, so I was part of the problem really. The views are amazing and we found... More

Be prepared when you go!!! We weren't and still enjoyed ourselves, although we were probably minutes away from being airlifted off the mountain side. Lots of water and food. The trail is a great hike/climb. Beautiful views! Weather definitely changes at the top. When we climbed it was high 80's at the bottom and 40's at the top! If you... More

We hiked the Tuckerman Trail this past week. I have done this before, the weather was nice and the hike (thought rigorous) was pleasant. This past week was NOT at ALL like that time. The weather at Pinkham Notch was 60 sunny and breezy at 0800. The ascent initially was challenging but fun. Many rocks, waterfalls etc.... We easily reached... More

It's just amazing.. Of course you have to be prepared! Good shoes, water and healthy! But the views you'll see are simply wonderful.. And you'll be so proud when you'll reach the summit! For a non trained guy (like me), be ready to walk 8h minimum to go to the summit and back to the beginning

Take your camera. Cellphone cameras don't do the views justice. Take time to enjoy yourself, this isn't a time to rush. We had heavy rain to deal with, so we'll come back in the future when we can enjoy it better
