This lighthouse is open on Sunday afternoons for tours. All of the volunteers were very knowledgeable and friendly. The climb to the top was not bad at all. If in the area, I recommend visiting and touring

Various school groups as well as lighthouse groups offer tours and the opportunity to climb the tower. Lots of history in this active area. Great photo opportunities of the lighthouse as well as ocean / river.

We loved visiting the park and the lighthouse. The sky was overcast, a little rainy, but views were still amazing.

I travel the country to visit lighthouses and this is a good one. It is located on an active Coast Guard Base so be aware, and parking is limited. It's also located on the grounds of an old fort so plan on spending some time...More

Stunning, iconic lighthouse. It's located on a Coast Guard base with limited viewing times, but we turned down a side street nearby and, boom, there it was. Perfect photo op!
