It's just a lot of money we spent ($200) for 2 adults and 2 kids. I thought I was getting 1st class tickets. However, the entire line of folks waiting was also 1st class, so I'm pretty sure we got moved to the coach seating. To be honest, I can appreciate the good cause, and charity, but it's just way... We provide the trains for Journey to the North Pole but have nothing to do with ticket prices, ticket sales, the hot chocolate or the show at the North Pole. We do, however, board the trains, and the lines are long for both First Class and Coach. Coach tickets were $47, and First Class tickets were $57. Our train crew... More

How to separate yourself from 42 dollars easily. Take this ride. If you want to save time, look out the window as you drive by the train station and throw 42 dollars out the window. You now have more time to go hiking. The ride is a 20 minute low speed ride along the back of the businesses. You see... More

As I've written before, the North Conway area has grown considerably in the 40+ years since Conway Scenic Railroad opened, especially along the Conway route. Unfortunately, we can't control what people do with their land outside of our right-of-way. Yes, our tracks follow the development along North Conway's "strip," but they also cross rivers and travel through fields and farmlands... More

Enjoyed our train ride through the snow covered mountains. The train has a dining car as well as serves snacks. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

We made the mistake of going in the car that faced the trailer homes instead of the mountains. We thought the train would loop around. It did not. Also, it was a 50 minute ride, not an hour. We sat for 10 minutes midway while the engine went from one end of the train to the other. I could have... More

We're sorry that this reviewer was unhappy with the experience here. There has been a great deal of development along our tracks in the 40+ years since Conway Scenic began operations, especially along the Conway route, and we can't control who puts what where outside our right-of-way, unfortunately. The Western side of the train definitely has better views. Our trains... More

This was our 6th time visiting this railroad. We went on the "Journey to the North Pole" train. We fly to NH from Chicago every year because they do such a great job. We have a 7-year-old and a 3-year-old. They both look forward to this trip. We will continue to come back year after year.

Cute ride with Santa. Watered down sip of hot chocolate and a chocolate chip cookie. Nostalgic old train cars going VERY slow through scenic snow pastures and over creeks. We decided that it was good for the pictures and to just rest for an hour.

We took our daughter, son-in-law and three grandsons on the Journey to the North Pole. What a wonderful family outing. The staff is very attentive and interact with the children. On the trip to the North Pole the "cooks" hand out hot chocolate and chocolate covered marshmallows. Right before you reach the North Pole the first class and premier passengers... More

We did the Santa Express Train in the Dome car. It was a pleasant ride and the children enjoyed it. The elves came around and offered hot chocolate and a cookie. The cookies were made with peanut oil so my daughter could not have one. Instead they gave her a mini candy cane which she was not happy with. Santa... More

I'm glad that this reviewer thought that the ride was pleasant and that her children enjoyed it, too. We serve chocolate chip cookies on the Santa excursions. They are not made with peanut oil, but we do tell passengers who are concerned about allergies that we can't guarantee that the dough was made at a nut-free facility. As mentioned, our... More
