Even though I grew up close to here, it is a must see every time I go back to New England . Evenings get chilly so remember even in summer to pack a light jacket or sweatshirt.

We went on boat to the isles of Shols and went on island to visit. Beautiful traisl around the island, old with character. I wish they had a real cafe to sit and enjoy. Loved it!

Took the boat trip around the harbor and got off at the Isles of Shoals. The island is used for retreats, but anyone can book an overnight stay if there is space available. Interesting grounds.

I know you can not dock on Appledore island, but I think you might be able to on Star Island, where the hotel is.
