Due to some construction, much of Peirce Island is closed. It is super dog-unfriendly. Even a well behaved dog on a leash is not allowed there "because it is dangerous because of construction vehicles." What? A dog on a leash lying at its owners' feet,...More

We love taking fishing trips here in the summer! We pack up the cooler and make a whole day of it! Bring a camera because you will want to take pictures!

This was another stop on our way out of Portsmouth. Very peaceful early in the morning. Great views of the water. I don't know how it is later in the day, but in the morning it was great.

Clean with crisp ocean air. Bring a picnic basket and sit at a table.... A place for children to play on a playground. Nice place to put a ocean worthy boat in the water. Great family walking/hiking all ages.

early May, windy and a bit chill and this was still a lovely park with plenty of picnic areas, short walks, good views.

If you want easy views, this park is a winner. Easy in, easy out, not a ton of rules or annoying gates to deal with. Just a quick stop at the river.

Been here lots of times over the years; from the pool as a kid to the playground with my own little ones to a family picnic this island overlooks and has great views of the fish pier and Prescott park. Convenient parking too. Highly reccomended!
