This is a just off the main tourist path along Route 1, but very well worth a visit. Peaceful and inviting minus the large crowds.

It is a wonderful bit of New Hampshire seaside nature at its best! I go to walk the trails, maybe sit on a quiet beach, watch for the deer or beavers or other wildlife. It's a fun adventure. This summer I went for a stroll...More

My husband and I loved walking on the rocks and gazing out over the waters crashing up onto the shore. The park is very clean and we love that there is an educational facility on the premise that helps preserve the nature, waters, and animals.

On a cloudy day this could be a perfect place to visit shrouded in fog and the path thru the trees takes you back to another time fog and drizzle did not ruin the weekend here.

We stopped here to break up our trip home and didn't want to leave. It's well worth planning to spend at least 1/2 a day... especially if you have little kids. We loved the playground... both one for younger kids and one for older kids....More

Walks in the woods and quiet beaches, well maintained facilities, and the north parking lot is usually quiet with a short walk to the unspoiled river beach.

I'm not sure. This is a good question. You may be able to light a grill at Odiorne State Park. Where the Seacoast Science Center is. Call them with this question. They are very kind and helpful.
