A charming little walk up to the Madame Sherri foundation. The history behind the Forrest is fun and interesting. This location links up to a much larger network of trails in New Hampshire.

I was visiting friends in Keene, New Hampshire and this was a great little activity to do. The Forest is off the beaten path for sure. The parking lot is tucked back a bit and we actually missed it the first time by. The cell...More

Yes, the ruins of the house are interesting and sort of spooky, but the hiking is the best part. We did the longer leg (1.5 miles) of the Ann Stokes trail going out from the parking lot and came back the short leg (0.5 miles)...More

I expected a lot more by all the hype the media and people provide for this place. It certainly is worth seeing but don't expect to spend more than 5-10 minutes being in 'awe' here. my friend and i travelled here looking for a great...More

There is not much locally available talking about this place, it is two miles down a dirt road. It is well worth the trip. The walk(not a hike) to the site is easy. It was easy to imagine why Madame Sheri fell in love with...More

Cool ruin site. Trails connect to Bear Den, Daniels Mountain, Wantastiquet and even Pisgah. We hiked the nearby loop trail (about 3 miles total with the connector). This has a decent climb with it and at least one great viewpoint.

The remains of Madame Sherri's castle is cool to see. The staircase is very sturdy and fun to climb. Make sure to wear bug spray when you go because there is water around the castle and therefore, a lot of mosquitos and black flies. It's...More

This forest was beautiful, and the story of Madame Antoinette Sherri and her beautiful Castle were amazing. When we were there, a young man was sitting on the grand staircase steps playing guitar and singing... we were entranced!!! The gentle sound of his music was...More

Type "41 Egypt Rd. West Chesterfield, NH" into your GPS. It's not there, but that'll get you to where you can find the sign and the parking lot.
