My family and I first visited the caves in August and were pleasantly surprised to find it very cool and not too crowded. The entry fee is reasonable and the guide book has a lot of fun facts.

Really enjoyed this little gem. The challenge of squeezing through the rocks was thrilling but so enjoyable. And I managed to get through the lemon squeezer!!! Would love to go back one day when I have children and let them experience it too!

You need to be in decent shape to get the most out of your visit. Plenty of stairs, and more stairs. Worth everty step, the views are so beautiful. You'll want to take the whole family, pack a picnic and spend a few hours here. Great photo opps everywhere you look. A must see in NH.

This is an amazing place. It is a great adventure, it feels like you are in a land before time kinda place. It has many steps, bridges, levels to get you all around the gorge. It has waterfalls and caves. You can crawl in the caves if you want. You can go to as much or as little as you... More

We visited the Lost River Gorge on our way from New Hampshire to Vermont and it was a lot of fun for us! Spectacular landscape, but only for the Gorge the Price would have been too high. It's the Caves that make the difference. We really had a blast, trying to get through and watch other people and giving each... More

Follow the boardwalk up and down stairs and ladders on many levels. Cross the bridges and climb (occasionally crawl) into the caves. So many gorgeous views at multiple elevations make this a photography lover's dream. The mountain setting and the beautiful river nestled in the gorge among the massive boulders makes this a nature lover's dream. Great way to get... More

At first glance, this may seem like a great activity for all ages...it's not. Make sure everyone in your party understands how tight these caves get and can EASILY pass through the test caves before entering the cave proper. With that out of the way, easily one of the weirdest, but invigorating things to do north of the notch. It... More

It is allot of work, but allot of fun. Very good views of everything and the surrounding area. A real family centered place.

The trails were fairly easy and clear. The views were spectacular. Stairs next to the gorge needed a bit of attending to as they were wet and somewhat slippery, but not dangerous at all. This is an easy hike for most people, even those not in the best shape. The waterfall is longer than deep, but where the gorge comes... More
