The Nature Center of Cape May provided us with two New Jersey Audubon Naturalists who led two different interpretative walks on the beach in front of the Grand Hotel for our conference attendees!!

We had an hour to spend before starting whale watching tour and looked for a place nearby to spend some time indoors. Found this nature center near to marina and felt very glad that we did not miss visiting this wonderful center in Cape May....More

And what we saw was many displays and live animals located upstairs. The building is lovely with large windows overlooking the water and many activities available for children. There are camps in the summer for multiple ages. The staff is very friendly.

Stopped by here after a recommendation from our hotel desk clerk. It was off season for most of the birds but we did see plenty of waterfowl and the photo opportunities were plentiful. Great place to slow down for an hour or so.

Unattended outdoor 'backyard'. Birdhouses on the ground, birdfeeders broken and empty, stagnant water in a small stream, weeds overtaking the works. Can't comment on whatever is indoors - it was supposed to open at 11am, but did not. Don't bother.

The Nature Center had brought a group of water creatures to our hotel (The Grand Hotel), and my 7 year old got to "pet" a spider crab, a horseshoe crab (awesome!), and various sea snails. So, we decided to stop by the center on our...More

There is free on street parking. There is also a small unpaved lot. Parking should be a non issue.
