We have had multiple visits to this farm, some good and some not-so-good. First the good. We love all the family activities Alstede offers: hayrides, pony rides, feeding farm animals, u-pick seasonal fruits and special brunches. The not so pleasant things: the crowds and wait times during popular weekends. Since we are close by, we have learned to avoid peak... More

We were desperate for an 8 foot Fraser fir for Christmas -- had put it off until the last minute. Alstede was well worth the 40 minute drive. A gorgeous location, tons of wonderful things for sale in their lovely shop (prepared foods, vegetables, etc), and best of all, a healthy, cheap, gorgeous 8 foot Fraser fir! Not at all... More

This farm has gotten too big, too congested and too expensive! It took almost an hour to get the last mile to the farm and then the farm itself was more like a zoo! They charge you just to walk around! Not worth the trip!

Hello Joe, Thanks for your recent review and for your visit in October. Our beautiful 372 acre preserved farm is a very popular destination because we offer so many crops that are not found on any other farm in the region. Weekends from late September through late October are always the busiest. We are open 7 days a week with... More

I wrote this as I waited in the parking lot... it took one hour to exit the parking area. Unacceptable. Also, I waited one hour to get into the parking lot, a half hour to buy my pick my own, then one hour to get on the wagon. At some point you have to realize - it's overcrowded and has... More

Hello, Thanks for your review and for your recent visit. Our beautiful 372 acre permanently preserved family owned farm is very popular...especially on a perfect fall day such as we had this past weekend. Everyone visited that day for the same reasons you chose to come to us as well. We don't like lines nor wait times as well. For... More

I've been coming to Alstede Farms since a kid; I'm now 32 y/o. I couldn't wait to bring my own little ones who are now ages 6 & 3. We've been coming here faithfully every year since Spring 2012. We loved all the activities for families and now adults since Alstede has partnered w/Tomasillo Winery. However, this farm has become... More

I go to this farm a lot for the various picking seasons but it gets very pricey since you have to pay to pick, pay for the containers you are putting the fruit/vegetables in, and pay for everything you pick. I understand paying for what you pick but paying to get onto the farm is a bit much. The farm... More

Attended my nieces birthday there this weekend. The tents they had set up were very cute, they were large and named after animals. The employees I encountered were all very nice and smiling which makes a big difference. It's not the farms fault, but the crowds they draw are insane. Expect to wait in line for 30 minutes to get... It's best to get here early. We were there by 10am and there was no line for tickets. They should explain you need a separate ticket for the corn maze. By the time we went to do that the line was crazy long so we weren't going to wait again for a ticket and we weren't the only ones who... More

I've been going to Allstede Farms for years. I'm quite local and what they've done to this place is an atrocity, just to make as much money as possible. The crowds are overwhelming and the buses just keep coming and coming. You have to pay for everything, even for a child to play in corn. There's really not much free... More
