Walked along the waterfront and checked out the view of the Statue of Liberty. Very cool indeed. Good time to go. There are not a lot of people around. You can hangout at the playgrounds if the kids are with you. Great views of the...More

The best views of the NYC skyline aren't even in New York...but here! A couple business partners and I decided to walk around this park to kill some time, and I'm so glad we did! Not only can you see the entire NYC skyline, but...More

Although it was cold we decided to take a drive to the park to see Statue of Liberty. We also saw the sun setting in the city. Within the park is also a tribute to 911. The silver walls are massive. It was worth the...More

On a whim we decided to visit this park on our visit to Jersey City December 28th. It was a freezing day, but we bundled up. The park is really nice, the bathrooms were clean. The view of the Statue of Liberty was great. The...More

This attraction was the beginning of journeys into the American interiors. The numerous lines represented different destinations where immigrants went. This was the final stage after processing. Thus it is important to visit the rest of the attractions, i.e Ellis Museum, and Statue of Liberty....More

I retired recently and the Park was on my list to visit. It was a beautiful yet blustery day but it didn’t matter because I was so taken with how beautiful the walkway was along the water. It’s really a great place for quiet contemplation....More

You will enjoy the nice park, the nearby museums, the restaurant... but the real reason to be here is the amazing view of the City. This is THE spot to take your NYC skyline pictures.

We choose this location to take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island - since it is easier to park and less crowded if you have your own vehicle. We purchased our tickets online and picked them up in the old train...More

You might have to call the Liberty State Park office for reservation and registration for the picnic area, no fee. I don’t think they can accommodate 500 people though. I believe maximum is 50 people.
