My family visited Insectropolis yesterday during Midwinter Recess. The museum is small and we were in and out in 45 minutes or so which was perfect because we had decent drive back to NY. It is set up in a circle and has live bugs...More

My wife and I took our 3 young daughters (ages 5 and 6) to Insectopolis for a rainy day activity. Although a "back building" on the lot where housed, this museum has live presentations with petting of insects, many diverse ecosystems' insects shown, and a...More

They have lots of insects to look at and learn about. Be sure to stay for the touch presentation. It was very informative and so cool to be able to touch and hold some of those creepy critters. Our 4 year old loved it!

Such an interesting place to visit! Luckily we were there on a quiet day, as many of the exhibits are based on reading the information. We were able to get close to each one on that day.

We learned some cool stuff & touched a scorpion! Ate some fried bugs! We were all entertained. We won at the cockaroach races as well.

I have been there a few times for parties and other events, I thought it would be dark and freaky. I do not like bugs BUT this museum is so well done! It is bright and educational. You will not get the creepy-crawlies-promise!
