This location is great for history people, or just local residents interested in their local history. The house is completely redone as it was in the 1700s. There is also a research library for those who pay a yearly dues.

It was a quiet day at the museum, but the lady allowed me to look around. I enjoyed my visit. The parking was good, and the location was easy to find. This is a museum for those who like small boats.

I have gone to numerous work shops on the coastal region which they had people who lived the history or families did, this made it all... More

Interesting History, Small and Limited, yet glad I visited while still in the area. Could have had more on the American Revolution, History, Battle of Toms River, NJ.

This old house was moved to it's current location to avoid demolition. It is an authentic period house (not remodeled) with many actual furnishings from the original owners. The docent was very knowledgeable which helped create interest. There are limited hours and only guided tours so check the website for availability.

Inside this beautiful, light green house lives memories, artifacts, & pieces of Ocean County/New Jersey history. The staff/volunteers are knowledgeable, kind, & tell wonderful stories of times past. You must check out their Antiques Faire in August!
