We had a wonderful time here. The suggested admission option is wonderful, I believe everyone should have the option to enjoy Art. It's a good size museum, 4 floors. We spent most of our time on the lower level and 2nd floor. Loved the acknowledgment for Women's History Month and for Black History Month. A lot of NJ artists, Toy... More

My wife and I attended the "New Jersey Arts Annual - Special Edition" opening reception here, and the gallery more than lived up to the art, which was a wide-ranging exhibition at a very high level. This was on a Sunday afternoon, so we were able to park on the street for free, right in front of the museum entrance:... More

We found a groupon for the NJ state museum so we decided to give it a whirl, as my 6 year old #nerdgirl loves museums and planetariums. While the museum doesn't have a huge amount of collections/exhibits they are all very interesting and give a great amount of information about the history of NJ. We went on a Sunday and... More

To Whom it May Concern, I just had my son’s birthday party there on Saturday January 14th, 2017. Let me start off by saying, the party venue could really be an awesome space to hold a birthday party, or other event for that matter. In addition, the gentleman assigned to my room to oversee the party, I wish I knew... More

Summer was coming to an end and we wanted to spend a quality day sight seeing so we headed off to Trenton to see the state capitol and the NJ State Museum. A pond arrival we couldn't believe how much parking was available but no signs telling you if it was ok to park or where to park so after... More

The museum has a good art exhibit but as far as we could see, did not have any connection to the State. There is also a toy exhibit, one of Big Things, a dinosaur exhibit, and more.

My husband and I took our two grandchildren today. They are 11 and 13 who enjoy any kind one learning. They loved this museum. They were fascinated over all the interesting displays. Their favorites were the Native American displays and the old toys that were made in New Jersey. They could not believe that some of the toys their dad... More

Visited on museum day live. Was late for planetarium show. However to see all the exhibits and fine arts collection it was amazing. Reading earlier reviews I thought it would be average but the museum was great. Archaeology , Paleontology , Art , history, planetarium ... Wow . Really good place for a days visit. Wished we had not missed... More
