The NY Waterway Ferry is a dependable and delightful way to get around, providing a welcome departure from the usual city commute. Though there's room for improvement, especially when it comes to cleanliness and customer service, the breathtaking views and efficient travel make it a great option for those looking for a distinctive and convenient way to navigate the city.

The guide with pink hat is really good. Also their shuttle bus is convenient to go to time square and Center park after getting off the boat. Only issue is waiting time to board the ferry is longer than expected.
Anyway it is a great experience!

We used the ferry to get from our hotel across the river to the Javit's Center. Buying a ticket online was quick and easy, the ferries come every 20 mins or so and are quick.
My only complaint is that there is little to no signage on the NY sign when you are lining up to return to New Jersey. We had to ask a number of passengers which ferry they were waiting for and even some of them weren't sure. We were not the only ones who had to ask as well since there was little to no signage.
I hope they invest in some LED screens or something that clearly display which slip you need to line up at depending on where you want to go. There was sometimes an announcement, but those were hard to hear.
Little quality of life adjustments like this would really make the experience less stressful for new comers.

It is NOT OK to wait sitting on your bus for the next set of ferry passengers. Adding 20+ minutes to your expected transportation time is UNACCEPTABLE when your paying for service.

After having taken the metro under the Hudson for a couple of times, it was time to experience the access of Manhattan over water. We took the ferry to Midtown/39th St W on a weekday, for $9 one way per person. This turned out to become a very nice experience with great views of Midtown Manhattan. We did the drive during Fleetweek, so also able so spot them.

On your way to IKEA Brooklyn, see the Statue of Liberty as you take the free ferry from the midtown pier. Beware, the free yellow shuttle that brings you to the pier has no set schedule nor regular service. After waiting over 30 minutes, we took the city bus. We found the shuttles all parked at the pier. Washrooms were clean.
The ride is clean and fast with great views of the city. Plenty of safety bars to hold onto and plexiglass downstairs. The return trip is just as good. We took the free shuttle heading downtown and the driver was very kind to let us off at the street corner we asked him.

The most convenient method of travel into Manhatten if you are staying in Weehwaken. The crossing only takes 8 minutes and is relatively inexpensive. You’d opt for this over an Uber any day of the week!

Took the round trip ferry from Weehawkin to midtown twice. Reliable and efficient way to get into NYC. The shuttle bus to Times Square was great as well.

In my opinion it should not be difficult to find parking space around the time and day mentioned.

Hola, queremos alojarnos en octubre, en el Residence Inn de Weehoken, y deseamos conocer distancia al puerto donde se toma el ferry a Manhattan, horarios límites, frecuencia de salidas, costos y duración del viaje. Gracias, Ana y Antonio
Can a 15 person van fit in the parking garage across the street from the port imperial ferry in new jersey? Also is there a difference in price for a van?

I cannot answer this question. My ferry network is on the East River, and does not include New Jersey on the Hudson River.

I live in Delaware but I need to go to New York City for one day. I was thinking I would get a hotel in New Jersey the night before my meeting in New York and take the ferry to NY the next morning. Is Weehawken the best area to get a hotel and park my car for the day? Thank you for any tips and info

I would stay at the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel. There is a small ferry launch to NYC right there actually.
And if you need a cheaper breakfast than what they offer in the hotel, walk over to the building to the left - and in the back right of the lobby is a good place to grab a breakfast sandwich or bagel!
