Located on the R317 between Robertson and Bonnievale, the restaurant and deli shop are next to the Breede River. For R60pp (you can pay/book a time slot online to guarantee a place on the boat) you get to sample as many of their wines as you like plus enjoy a river cruise. Beautiful cruise down the river. Do arrive a bit earlier and grab some snacks and drinks, it just makes the cruise a little more enjoyable. Great activity to do in a group. Lovely views along the river. Shade is provided upstairs and below with extra umbrellas put up.

We bought a bottle of wine and drank it as we slowly meandered down the river turned and can't back up. Most people had a picnic bought in the little shop. We did not have time to do this but ate afterwards. Something nice to do on a warm day.

We were staying in the area for three days and wanted to try a different type of wine tasting experience. Viljoensdrift's option of picnic and river cruise offered just what we were looking for. On arrival we did the wine tasting, (choice of 7 wines, the reds on the heavy side for us but then that's true of most SA's... More

Excellent wines and great young and festive atmosphere along the river! Loved the vibe. Enjoyed their sparkling wine too! All in all highly recommended.

Nice spot but a bit of a slow boat to nowhere. We had a short cruise up the river, the boat turned around and we had a slow drift back.

We almost missed this place as not well advertised, however it is well worth seeking out. There is a lovely deli where you can buy a picnic and either eat in the gardens or take a boat ride . The wines were nice but not memorable. The staff were lovely .

We loved tasting wine on the river boat, lovely and cool breezes and a very gentle trip. Good photo opportunities and you can fill a picnic basket at the deli beforehand and bring it along. Its an perfect add on to your visit to the Robertson valley.
