It's not too long of a drive from the main Wilderness area. Nice open beach area. Many visitors seen fishing and chilling in the water. After a quite a walk you'll get to the Gerickes Point, not too steep to climb the rock. You will get a wonderful view of the beach from the top.

The walk along the beach to Gerickes Point is a must. We saw dolphins frolicking just off the rocks. Best at low tide because you can then walk among all the rock pools and see starfish in the pools

Want a great walk? Throw in the beauty and the fossilized dunes on this awesome location. Breeding seagulls and oyster catchers gives the spot absolute appeal for a great morning or afternoon walk

Super to go at low tide! The children love exploring the rock pools and running freely along the beach. The sea is not rough which makes it extra special for children. An occasional penguin or seal add to the adventure! The look out point provides amazing views!

Lovely stop for a long beach walk early in the morning - the views at sunrise is spectacular and a great way to start the day!

Located @ Swartvlei beach before you get to Sedgefield and about a 3km walk there and back. Check the tides so that you catch it at low tide. Make sure you take shoes with for the little climb to the top since it has a lot of loose sand and rocks. Fantastic view from the top! Take swimming stuff with... More

The actual Point is cut off at high tide so CHECK what the tide is doing before you go and keep an eye on it. People have been trapped on there. Suggest you wear the relevant shoes for sharp rocks should you really want to walk all the way there. You also can fish from the rocks. But due to... More

Most awesome place ever. Swimming, snorkeling and fishing. Never miss going there when in the area. I've been going there since a teenager and have taken my children and grandchildren there and still is heaven on earth. 2kg walk from Swartflei beach in Sedgefield.
