Well worth the visit with your children. Very educational. They have a lot to do for children, with their restaurant nearby and play park for children.

I was prepared for the worst, but found Monkey Town very well setup, and they obviously care for their charges. Some sad tales of woe for some of the animals by previous owners, but MTown do their best to rehabilitate them. The walk through the tunnels with the primates above and around you is cool. But beware - they can... More

A place everyone should visit at least once. An incredible and inexpensive experience that cannot be done without watching the chimps being fed and going into the cages with the little monkeys. A great place to take your partner or even to take your family.

My husband and I, in our 30's, really enjoyed visiting Monkey Town. We are animal lovers so when visiting South Africa, we wanted to encounter as many animals as possible. Our tour of monkey town was very interesting to see and learn about the many different types of monkies and apes. The best part though was an additional encounter they... More

We went to monkey town for the day and my 2 year old just loved it . We also had a family animal private interaction with squirrel monkeys and it was really spectacular. The monkeys literally come and eat out of your hand . We really enjoyed the outing .

As always I read the different reviews prior to visiting a venue, so I was aware of one or two negative reviews in amongst the majority of positive ones. I always like to give a venue a chance though. Yes it is true that the venue is in need of an update, especially by today's standards, but did that spoil... More

I took my two boys here during the school holidays. It was great fun. Not cheap, but worth it. They had an awesome time. The place is a bit run down here and there, but I can understand that this place does not print money. There are many monkeys and other animals. There is also an encounter where you go... More

They say there that it's the humans who are caged and in certain areas this is true. Other inmates are in appropriate-sized cages with plenty of enrichment, playthings etc. Chimpanzee island is particularly pleasing to see - and the talk by the keeper was excellent; amusing, informative and entertaining. His interaction by signing with the chimpanzees was fascinating and funny.... More

My son & his family were out from the UK recently & and we took them to the sanctuary. A great time was had by everyone and I felt that it was very educational for the children. We also visited the adjacent Snake Park and were blown away by the specimens, in all my years this must be the best... More
