The USS Liberty Wreck is the most famous dive site in Bali. It is also one of the best sunken ship wrecks in the world! If you come to Bali, you absolutely have to dive there The liberty ship was hit by a Japanese torpedo then was beached near Tulamben. In 1963, the eruption of Mount Agung caused the vessel to slip off the beach, and it now lies on a sand slope in 9 to 30 m of water. The wreck is about 130 m long with the shallowest part at about 5 m deep and the deepest on the other side of the wreck at about 30 m deep.

Had a great dive. Very professional and friendly. Only wish I had more time to do more dives with this company. Very happy!

Lots of macrolife, plus it's a big shipwreck! You get it all. All the shops in Amed will take you there.

If you're a scuba lover this dive is a must. It's popular though so it can be very busy in the water. Lots of beautiful fishes to see.

The liberty wreck is an absolutely musst see spot for divers (and snorklers). Nice location for Open Water Course. Beautiful sea world. Not to crowded

This is the most popular wreck dive in Bali and it is worth the effort to get there.A good wreck with a great diversity of fish. Does get very crowded by mid-day so I suggest you get there early. Access is from a stony beach...More

Worth the longish trip from ubud etc. Lots less travellers and area is entirely for diving. Don't expect great beaches.

We did two dives; the first right around the wreck from shallowest to deepest, a bit gloomy at depth but the sun was behind clouds, when the clouds cleared the rest of the dive was great, so many fish, corals and little creatures. The second...More

It continues to amaze. The night dive is magical. The early morning equally so. Hunting at night. School of bumpheads in the morning. And 2 yrs down a massive turtle eating lunch! Nudies, shrimps and scorpion fish to add.

We dived this four times in three days with guides from Matahari and all of them took different routes round. The dawn dive was my favourite as it was so clear. There are so many things to see. Amazing!!

Hello, I know the answer to this since I was there last week. This is very doable especially if you have a ride. If you go to the Paradise Palm Beach Bungalows, Tulamben beach you can easily access the wreck no guide needed... More

I went with Nico Dives and he was able to safely assess non swimmers on introductory dive course. You cannot jump straight for liberty shipwreck without doing an intro course first inside a pool and shallow open water to see... More

Yes, but you'll enjoy it better if you are comfortable in the water. At least if you can snorkel, it should be ok.
