Freely you have received, freely give....This is what they do here at El Santuario. The whole grounds is very peaceful. There is a reverence to the chapel and the dirt room that was impressive. Sitting in the chapel soaking up the past history of all...More

El Santuario de Chimayo (also known as the Lourdes of the Southwest) is a faith-filled and holy site. The beauty of this peaceful place is a gift no matter the season.

We came to Chimayo to visit this church. Quite a spiritual and peaceful encounter. We were not able to attend Mass during the week but still were able to see the church and the chapels.

This church is a well preserved piece of architecture. It is a very awe inspiring religious experience in seeing and reading about people that have visited and been healed

Our wonderful little Sanctuario. Be in peace and reference no matter your faith. This is a holy site. And unique to New Mexico.

Let your body and mind rest at the beautiful setting of the Santuario. Walking around the premises and sitting down in solitude in the garden is very peaceful. The chapel is beautiful and worth a visit even if you are not a practicing catholic.

This gorgeous little adobe chapel transports you back to Spanish missionary days of the 1800s. You approach through a lovely arch and courtyard. The chapel itself is dark and mystical and decorated with magnificent Hispanic religious folk art. The altar is a masterpiece!

This is such a beautiful place, not only because it is such an iconic church. If visitors will look past the post-card worthy building for a moment, the peace of the place can overwhelm. Today was especially nice. . . .few people, no children, and...More

Not sure as i'm not a local. Suggest you call Sacred Heart or Santuario and ask about local transportation for Good Friday service.
