Made a last minute decision to go whilst at the Buddy Holly museum in Lubbock. Lady there made a call and we drove straight there and met up with Kenneth Broad and Dave Bingham happened to be there. What a fantastic experience, which brought tears to my eyes after talking to Dave; to realise he knew so many artists was... More

What an experience. Kenneth was so friendly and knowledgeable. The tour wasn't rushed so you can take you're time and absorb it all and feel as if you were there when it all happened. Met David Bingham and Paul Gore and had an impromptu jamming session. 1st ones to see Sonny Wests crafted guitar Was well worth the trip from... More

This was the most awesome experience. This is a must-see for Buddy Holly fans. The studio has a lot of original equipment and the people giving the tour were amazing. The nicest, most personable people anyone can meet. Highly recommended for Buddy Holly/Crickets fans and fans of that fabulous era! Although gratuity is not suggested, there is a place to... More

I've visited several times and there is always something I didn't see the first time. This studio has been lovingly preserved with many original furnishings and authentic vintage pieces. The personal touch provided by the volunteer guides is really special. The tours must be scheduled in advance through the chamber of commerce but if you stop by and they are... More

Little confusing on the reviews as to how to arrange a tour so we traveled to Clovis with the intention of going to the Museum at the Chamber of Commerce. On the way, we swung by the studio to snap some pictures of the outside. As fate would have it, David Bigham (one the studio back up singers for Norman)... More

Norman Petty Studios is a time warp. This studio was where Buddy Holly recorded the vast majority of his music. It is exactly the way it was left after the "Rock and Roll" was recorded in the 50's.

Had a private, 1 hour tour of the place. Everything has been left as it was in the 50's. Really a cool place to see.

We had heard about this place from my husband's guitar teacher and we revised our itinerary and are we sure glad we did. Nobody could make you feel more welcome than Kenneth and Shirley Broad. They were friends of Norman and Vi Petty so lived the stories. They have preserved the place well and kept the instruments in working condition.... More

Visiting this studio was such a huge highlight of my trip through New Mexico. Kenneth gave me a tour and he spent an hour and a half with me! Hearing original playbacks from Buddy Holly's recordings through the original speakers in the studio just about brought me to tears. Kenneth also let me take as many photos as I wanted... More
