We have walked the hill for our pilgrimage and at different times through out the year. This is a very peaceful place.

I grew up around the plaza of the village of Tome. As kid we would climb the hill at least three or four times a year for fun. There are several paths to go up. Most people today either use the West Path or the South Path to go up. On Good Friday before Easter Sunday, many people tend to... More

I've hiked Tome Hill since I was a young kid and it has always been a part of my life. Going up to see the sunset on my birthday, hiking on a summer morning and having a picnic. I love this place :)

The hiking path is not marked too well. The path is just sand and rock, yet leads to a spot where services can be held and one can see a magnificent view of the mountains and Los Lunas.

Do your want to do something with the family? Take a walk on Time Hill! I enjoy viewing the great views on the top of this hill. Make sure to do it for sunrise or sundown

Tome Hill is testament to the faith and convictions of many residents of Tome and surrounding environs. A rigorous climb to the summit will reward you with the up-close trio of hand made crosses, candles and rosaries brought by the faithful in fulfillment of personal promises. The view of the valley is breathtaking. Well worth the effort to go up... More

Climbing and exploring Tome Hill is a pleasure. It's an easy climb, particularly if you take 'Granny's Way' from the west side. There are over 1800 petroglyphs tucked away on the hill, indicating the hill's use in pre-historic times, most likely as a vantage point and a way to escape river flooding. You can visit the modern crosses at the... More
