If nature is your thing then you will love the Goose Lake trail. On the way up you can catch old miner cabins, blasting holes, relics from the past and of course beautiful scenery, I went in September, the temperature at the bottom of the...More

What a gorgeous lake in the mountains! Definitely blew away my expectations. We took the New Mexico Adventure tour and enjoyed every minute. A must do in Red River!

trail was a little rough - but well worth taking the trip - we had a 4 seat RZR - so it made the ride easier - beautiful country - along the way we saw some old log cabins, a bear hole in the side...More

Drove a jeep up to Goose Lake. The trail takes a little over an hour to get up but the views in person are absolutely beautiful!! There are trout in the lake right now so fishing is an option. My favorite part is probably seeing...More

WE love to take our jeep and go to Goose Lake. Beautiful scenery. Road is a little narrow so just take it slow and be careful. We take a picnic lunch.

This trail is the toughest trail in the area but it's worth the trip up (approximately 1 hour each way in a razor). The lake and views are stunning. We will always ride this trail when in the area.

Yes and No. It will make it up the trail, but the trail is so narrow that it will not be worth it. The best bet is to rent a 4 wheeler. If not, you'll end up backing up in very tight spaces and it will just be a major... More

Unlikely. Goose is pretty rough. You can rent a variety of 4x4 vehicles in town, or take a jeep tour. Goose is beautiful, and worth the rental fees.

I really cannot recommend hiking the trail. If you are an avid hiker, I would guess at least 3 to 4 hours to get to the lake from the highway. We were in the jeep, and since the trail was as rough as it is, it took us... More
