Founded in 1937, the Roswell Museum and Art Center is home to an extensive collection of southwestern art, the equipment and workshop of pioneering rocketeer Robert H. Goddard, and the Rogers Aston Collection of the American West, which encompasses historical southwestern artifacts spanning from the sixteenth through the twentieth centuries.

Neat little museum..lots of history that touches on eye-witness reports and even different conspiracy views and government stories. Quirky alien set-ups to take photos in front of. Little kids may not enjoy it so much..lots of reading and the set-ups might be a bit much....but...More

The first day we tried going here, we couldn't find the entrance! It's from the side with the convention center. There's a mix of art, rocket, and historical artifacts. All very interesting. You can take pictures, but no flash.

Once you find the front door, because of the lack of proper signage pointing to the entrance from the side street, you will be happy you entered this place. We started off with the history of Goddard and marvelled at his complex workshop items used...More

There’s not a lot to do in Roswell except look for UFO’s but this museum is a nice way to pass some time. It’s well done and shouldn’t take too much time from your day. Stop by!

My wife and I enjoyed visiting this museum. I was very happy with the history of the Southwest exhibits. There was also a history of rockets featuring Goddard’s actual workshop. The art exhibits were well done and interesting. There is no charge but they ask...More
