Bottomless lakes is about 12 miles east of Roswell. Short drive to get there. If your looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. Great place for riding bikes and/or camping.

I wish I had gone when it was a little cooler but I enjoyed walking the trail. Dog friendly. The main lake had lots of tables and shaded picnic tables. Water available at at least one of the smaller water areas.

Unfortunately the rentals for the paddle boats closes at 3:30 daily:(. The attendant was very apologetic and kind though. Beautiful place.

Sorry, no there are no gift shops there. Across from the UFO museum is a very good one but it has mostly alien items. Your best bet is get as many pictures as you can. Go above the lake to the look out and that is the best... More

Yes they charge, As I recall it was in the neighborhood of $20. Given my wife's need to run an o2 machine we have to be where there is electric, so we generally end up paying more than someone able to dry camp.
