I decided to take some women friends for a ride to celebrate my birthday. Three of us have many years of experience riding - our own horses, at training barns, on Polo fields, and with outfitters. Therefore, we have plenty of ways to compare. All arrangements with Acacia Riding Adventures were made online. Dacodah Herkenhoff is very prompt in answering... More

My family and I have been spending the summer in New Mexico for several years now and horse riding at ARA is the best thing we have ever done here. We have two young daughters (aged 6 and 9) and the way our instructor cared for them was just outstanding. I simply cannot recommend this place highly enough. Our only... More

The folks at Acacia really have their act together. Very professional in every way. They delivered more than expected. I look forward to doing this again.

We wanted to go horseback riding but couldn't find a place to work with our schedule or allow a 7 year old to ride. Acacia was flexible with our arrival time and allows younger children. It was an awesome experience!! Our guide, Jill, was informative and great with children. She took us around the mountain and told us about the... More

If you want to experience NM, go on a sunset ride in the San Lorenzo Canyon with Dacodah & his staff. Words cannot describe the beauty we experienced, utterly breathtaking! Impressed with Dacodah's ability to match each rider's skill level with a horse & give all riders opportunities to ride at their own comfort level. I own horses so I... More

ARA is the best horseback riding in the West. We have had the opportunity to ride in New Mexico and also at their facility in Cave Creek, AZ. ABSOLUTELY the best riding establishment - friendly, considerate, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about their horses and the areas we rode. They are very in tune with your comfort level but also provide... More

We recently rode up and into San Lorenzo canyon and what a great adventure! Dachodah and Jill were great wranglers and it was so delightful to see Dachodah loving on his horses. For a great western adventure that is safe and thrilling, go to San Acacia.

I signed up for the Moonlight Ride quite late but got in. From Albuquerque it is a bit more than an hour but I-25 is good and it's easy to find. Jena set everything up (as one would expect), selecting horses appropriate for each rider. I didn't realize the ride was not *at* the Acacia Schoolhouse location, when everything was... More

I can find nothing bad to say about Acacia Riding Adventures. If you are staying in Albuquerque, it will take you a little under an hour to get there. However, it is worth the trip. There are places that are closer, but making the drive will bring you to some natural wonders that aren't available closer to the city. Our... More

My daughter & I stay miles (1,992) apart and don't get spend a lot of quality time together. I traveled to Albuquerque for a weekend trip to visit with her and we decided to go horseback riding, since neither of us ever rode a horse. We went riding through the Indians Hills and our guide (young lady whose name I... More
