I keep saying that I'm going to visit the SpacePort but I can't pull myself out of the water at Riverbend Hot Springs. The Spaceport looks awesome but whats with the high costs of the tours? Seems like it should be more accessable to the public.

This place is terrible. I reserved a tour two months in advance. A few days later, I was told that all future tours had been canceled because the vendor lost their contract. Fine. I called *four times* to get my tickets refunded and every time heard a new excuse–the manager was out and would call me back. He never did.... More

A group of us headed out there yesterday from Albuquerque for the Open House. It's a long drive from here but we had a gorgeous day so it was all good. The Spaceport is quite isolated (about 40 minutes from T or C), but the site is quite expansive with great views. The sculpture you see upon arrival is beautiful... More

We wanted to check out the Spaceport, but changed our minds when we walked in the TorC office. We walked into the office/gift shop and found a young woman glued to her phone (imagine that) and a "gift shop" stocked with a couple of 3X or Small t-Shirts - nothing in between. The dis-interest by the "staff" made us turn... More

The information about the current space programs was interesting but the guide kept pushing economic propaganda which was simplistic and laughable. No mention of 50+ years of public funding and public benefit which put the space program where it is today.

The tour is the only way to actually get on site and see Spaceport America. It leaves from their tourist facility near Elephant Butte NM and you drive on a small bus with friendly and knowledgable driver a long way out in wonderful NM country to reach the site. You pass Ted Turners ranch HQ on the way out to... More

You leave on the shuttle from the Visitor Center in T or C. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The ride to the Spaceport is about an hour and some history videos were shown. Not much to see. Disappointed we weren't able to see the space plane model up close, only from behind a foggy window. The other building with... More

We read about Spaceport as a destination in a science magazine and booked a tour months in advance. No issues with booking or anything about this trip. We boarded a comfortable van and headed out from Truth or Consequences for a long ride to Spaceport America. I started taking notes on the narrative. Here are a few. A geologist from... More

Hello Elizabeth, Thanks for coming on a tour with us! We appreciate your feedback. During the timeframe of your visit, it is possible that certain portions of the facility were temporarily off limits due to customer operations. No two tours are exactly the same for this reason, so we hope to welcome you back for another visit in the future!... More

Our problem was that we had got up early to drive for 2.5 hours from Albuquerque in order to be at the visitor centre in Truth or Consequences for 8.45. We really needed to do something interactive to wake ourselves up, and the visitor centre looked promising, with some interactive exhibits which attracted my teenage daughter. However, we were soon... More
