Very deep sandy campsite with few game viewing opportunities. There were a few small natural waterholes and I understand the large (expensive) resorts and pump water to attract animals. Better to stay near Kasane and travel in or drive in and camp at Ihaha.

Excellent area for seeing many animals and beautiful scenery. Offers good weather, uncrowded, many options for camping and lodging. Whether you self drive of use a guide it is possible to relax and sit back as Africa unfolds in its glory at your doorstep.

In my opinion Savute is overrated and we all have that nostalgia from watching NG TV and keep thinking we will see those Savute Marsh Lions. Many people I met here thought the same about the park. The problem is that there is water everywhere...More

So many beautiful elephants! We saw the playing, fighting, mud bathing, eating, etc. We saw jackal and the biggest croc ever! The park is full of exotic animals. Not to be missed.

We stayed a couple of nights at the Savute Lodge in the middle of the Savute Reserve. This is the real taste of Africa. Remote, beautiful, full of animals, some different terrains. Great destination if you want to really make the most of Botswana.

Fabulous national park with great animal sightings. I recommend to take a game drive with a lodge's professional guide, they are really amazing to track and identify the animals

Savuti Reserve was very picturesque in its starkness during the dry months. We were disappointed in the amount of animals we saw during our visit. It was extremely hot,dry and dusty and definitely 4x4 territory only. It was nice to see and maybe in the...More

We stayed at Savute Safari Lodge and Chobe Game Lodge. Both are part of the Desert and Delta Safaris group, and both were great.
