What a wonderful park - a huge fort/climbing gym, pool, bandshell, and of course - the vintage carousel. The purpose of our visit was to ride the carousel (we're doing the whole Binghamton circuit) and this was a great experience.

The best playground for kids, it's huge! The carrousel is so lovely and it's free :-) You can go swimming in the outside pool for just $0.5, isn't that great!

By far my kids favorite one. Plus the new renovation of rec park makes the park world class no exaggeration, For all abilities. Hats off to the city, they will win awards for their investment into the city.

The carousels are only open until Labor Day unless they have a special event. Last year (2015) The Recreation Park Carousel had a winter event for a few weekends around Christmas time.
