We had a couple of hours before we needed to get on the road so we decided to take a look at this zoo. It featured a carousel in the promotional materials, but it was under renovation during our visit. Also, several of the exhibits were also under "rezoovenation" and had no animals on display. From what we saw of... More

They are making a number of efforts to improve this zoo. I have been to many zoos across the world and although this cannot compare, if you go with an open mind to relax you can enjoy your time here. It has a number of things to do for kids and is worth stopping by if you have extra time.

This zoo offers a good selection of animals to look at. There is a lot of walking and some of the exhibits do smell, but that comes with the territory. Overall, a nice day trip.

So cheap, and well worth it. It's a mile long walk and you'll see all different animals. There was even a little ice cream shop halfway through the zoo. You get to feed sheep right when you walk in for an extra $1. And riding one of the oldest carousels in the world was a nice memory. I drove a... More

The zoo is trying hard to be the best it can, my grandson loves going there and it's a lot of fun watching him look for the animals. The best part is you don't have to travel far to see a quality zoo, small but for the animals they have its very well kept and the staff is friendly and... More

We have frequented this Zoo for many years as our children are if a wide age span. It is always clean, fun, informative and a pleasure to visit. We have also done the carousel circuit which has one of the carousels in this zoo.

During a recent visit to Binghamton we went to Ross Park Zoo. We learned it was the 5th oldest zoo in America! It is very clean and modern. The staff was friendly too. On such a cold day we were please to discover the Tropics Building as well as indoor viewing of the otters! Many of the animals were active... More

We had a great day here. The admission was very reasonable, $24 for 2 adults and 2 children. The whole place was clean and all of the staff was extremely friendly. They do a scheduled time to meet the animals keeper and watch them feed the animals. They will answer all the questions you can think of. They were all... More

It's a nice walk. It seems very clean and the animals seem well taken care of. They have a pretty decent variety of animals to see. I used to come here as a little kid, and returning as an adult I was not disappointed!

All the animals were sleeping. The mountain lion or was it a cougar? Either way it was skinny and needed a better diet. Really disappointed will not return or recommend.

Hi Michelle, Thank you for your recent visit to the Binghamton Zoo. Depending on the time of your visit, some of our animals do sleep throughout the day, and are mostly active in the mornings and early evenings. It just depends on the animal, the weather, and whether or not they just ate! We can assure you that our cougar,... More
