First off, the restrooms were closed for cleaning, but this is my 3rd day in a row coming here and they have been closed. It directs you to port-a-pottys and they were just disgusting. Every garbage can is over stuffed with 3- 4 bags sitting next to it and it's getting worse by the day! I love here in Western New York and we come to Woodlawn beach a lot. The sand is full of rocks, which is NOT soothing to the toes. I do not know why the upkeep of this beach is declining. It's pretty sad how it's just literally full of trash, that does not belong there. People throwing their water bottles in the swampy areas off of the wooden walk. This is not Buffalo, don't treat it like it! Just so unhappy

I was at Woodlawn Beach today. Clean, crowded , patrolled by police and very exciting . A must visit .

We like Woodlawn Beach for many reasons...
$7 for a carload to get in....
Plenty of sand on the beach to have fun with the kiddos...
Close to home....15 minutes from anywhere in the south towns...
Not Canada, no offense but we usually spend a week at Sherkston Shores with more sand on the beach....
Family oriented....
I hesitate to post as we like the beach...was full but not on top of each other....
Did I mention close to home....
Life Guarded...
Restrooms and snack bar on site...
Enough said....
Give it a try...

The beach is very nice. Well guarded and clean. There is a restroom and refreshments available. Walking into the water is very rocky. I would recommend wearing water shoes.

Another example of a great Lake Erie Beach. Beautiful walk along the boardwalk on the way to the beach and if you get hungry or thirsty you have options to quench that desire.

This is our go to park as it's convenient, well kept, offers a fun variety of food and drinks through the facilities they offer there too.Besides the beachfront there's also the woods boardwalk and the water also meanders through the property if you want to follow that as another fun excursion at the Woodlawn Beach location.

My great uncle would tell stories of how wonderful this beach was before the industrial take over of the area.

Steel plants are now practically gone - and the beach is slowly re-emerging.

Over all the Resturant, Bar and restrooms are what you would expect for a seasonal beach.

A few friends and I gather throughout the summer to watch the sunset ..Have shown photos to friends and they are surprised at our beautiful sandy beach here in western New York. If you come after the gate closes for the day you don't have to pay the $7.00 parking fee and can stay till the sun goes down. There is a nice wood boardwalk out to the beach and a bar on the beach if you want to stay later.

A nice stretch of beach but too often the water is closed to swimmers due to contaminated water. You would think that in an area that has prime beach access, more would be done to clean up the water!

Went there for Fourth of July. The beach was clean and things for the kids to do. Yes, make sure you have flip flops. The sand is HOT and it's rocky near the water! The Tiki Bar is sweet and they have live music. Really easy to get to and good parking.
