Beautiful gardens that you can explore at your own pace. The mansion is equally wonderful and a delight to tour. It is a gem in the middle of a neighborhood but easy to find.

The history of the mansion and the breathtaking gardens are a must see. We were given a tour by a wonderful docent that told us about the property and it's interesting story. It is a large property and if you plan to walk all of the gardens it could take you an entire day. They also offer places on the... More

If you're interested in historical sites, enjoy walking around beautiful, peaceful varietal gardens, or just appreciate the workmanship of old mansions, then a visit to Sonnenberg is a must. The docent provided an excellent, informative tour. There is a small cafe on site. We bought a great bottle of wine at the wine store and enjoyed it with a nice... More

Love old estates and this one did not disappoint! Learning about the history of an area by seeing how the gentry lived is a great learning experience.

There was not a lot in bloom. The mansion was fabulous and there were docents everywhere to talk to tourists. Nicely put together. Everyone was helpful and welcoming.

We have gone several times, nice park-like atmosphere recommend coming on a cool day. We enjoyed the various gardens and sticking to the shade of the trees.
