Goold Orchards is now Windy Hill Orchards. The new family that owns it are awesome. Very family oriented and don’t charge for things the Goolds used too. You can actually afford to go there now. They don’t nickel and dime you like Sue Goold did. Free carriage rides and nice campfires. How nice. Really nicely remodeled county store. Got to try their apple pies.

Went looking for apples during Covid-19 this December and made our way to Windy Hill Orchard. We had NO idea this was the same place that was once Goold Orchards and were pleasantly surprised to find such a welcoming place!!!

Easy entry, plenty of parking, well organized, helpful staff plus SANTA!!! What a beautiful, clean and well organized place. We will come back for sure!

We went to Goold's Orchard this past weekend for something to do as a family on a nice fall day. We ended up going on the day of a little festival, and it was fun, however you had to pay admission to get in (kids under 12 were free but had to pay extra for rides). They had a corn maze, pumpkin and apple picking, craft tents, food, bounce house, rock wall, face painting, music, wine tasting, etc. We had fun. The cider donuts were cold, so not as good as we were hoping, but other than that a nice thing to do for 1-2 hours. Plenty of tasty apples and big pumpkins for picking. All in all it was a nice day, we'd go back.

We attended the annual apple festival. We really enjoyed picking the apples and the apple pie was excellent. We were off-put but the $10 admission and the up charges for petting the animals, apple-picking, the kids' bounce houses, face-painting etc. The admission covered live entertainment (which we did not stay for) and a miniature corn maze. If one merely wants an apple-picking experience, there are numerous other choices. We also found the full-time staff harried and especially defensive when we asked about pesticides.

It's fall, so do the whole apple picking thing at this beautiful scenic orchard. When you're done , finish up with some delicious hard cider or amazing award winning wine, They've got it all at Goold!

This is the most reasonably priced orchard in the area. The picking was plentiful and easy. They also had a very nice store where you can buy baked goods, apples and taste spirits.

Have been going to Goulds for years. They have the best apple cider donuts and now have added a winery. This includes hard cider. A good time to try this would be during the annual festival October 7 & 8.

Goold's used to be the best. They'd have the best apple cider donuts, friendly staff and be open and interested in sharing their world with the kids.

Now when you visit you'll likely meet a grumpy group of hygenically challenged people who seem to care less if you go or not.

The donuts when fresh are still great, but you're rolling the dice with each visit. Once we even called ahead, were told to "come on in, donuts are being made as we speak". Arriving within 15-20 mins found nothing fresh made that day. Woman said just put in microwave for 15 seconds and they'll be good as new.

Go somewhere where they care about you (and themselves).

While on our fall foliage vacation, wineries were on the list & this just happened to be one of the first ones we stopped at. They had a great selection of wines & we have yet been to any winery that we did not only taste but purchase! Even with the busy weekend ahead for them (annual apple festival & craft show) we felt well served!

While searching for a winery in the area we were passing through, I found Goold Orchards. This turned out to be a wonderful experience. Google maps led us right to the orchards where we found a very nice wine tasting available. The price was $6 for 6 choices that included port and hard cider options; souvenir glass available. The tasting room is open six days a week from 10-4. We enjoyed the selections and purchased three bottles of wine.
The tasting room is part of a store for the orchard and also has a bakery. The apple cider donuts (still warm) were fabulous. The also bought a small basket of apples.
The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They were preparing for a very big event on the upcoming weekend - the 28th annual Apple Festival & Craft Show.
