I had the pleasure of doing Lanie Robertson's one woman show, Woman Before a Glass, at Bridge St. in September of 2018. What a marvelous place to work at!
John created a set that more than rivaled the set I had when it played in London, and both John and Steven treated me like a queen. From the stage-manager to my dresser everyone took such good care of me that I felt totally supported - which I think is one of the reasons the work at Bridge st. is so good - they are theatrically savvy, kind and they value good theatre. They naturally treat their actors with the greatest respect; consequently we want to do the best job we can for them and for their audiences. I totally enjoyed the whole experience - being a guest in their home, performing , and being a part of the after theatre talk backs.

Bridge St. represents the best that theatre has to offer.

A former factory converted into a comfortable and friendly theater space where excellent work is done by professionals in an environment where you are as close to the play as you can get.

The space is small but pleasant, the acting is fine (as in very good). Among the best theater you will find north of NYC. Interesting production choices, also - well-suited to the smaller spaces and troupe. We have been to 3 performances - all were rewarding theater experiences.

This is a wonderful performing arts complex housed in a re-converted factory building just across Catskill Creek from the Village's historic Main Street. It presents a full season of theatre, cabaret, and an eclectic mix of music, magic, visual arts, and more 11 months out of the year (the space is generally dark during January). Its self-produced theatrical productions tend to be unique - original, off-beat, and utterly unlike the fare presented at other venues in the region. Its Mainstage is an intimate 84-seat proscenium house, with a smaller cabaret-type space called The Speakeasy that seats about 50 (and which also serves as a lobby for the Mainstage when productions are being mounted there). There's something going on there virtually every weekend from February - December. You can check out what's coming up by visiting the theatre's website at BridgeSt.org.

My wife and I have now been to several shows at the theater - we have season tickets for less cost than one play in NYC. The mix of plays and shows often features up and coming acts (one magician we saw there stumped Penn and Teller on their TV show), and new playwrights, but all Broadway quality. Seating for 60 or so, and always packed. They are expanding.

My girlfriend and I traveled from NYC to see this performance. It was wonderful. The writing and acting was absolutly superb. One actor, Steven Patterson, carried the whole show, and he did it brilliantly. A standing ovation.

I hope they bring back this performance so other people can see it and I also really think they should make an audio book and sell this dramatic production on audible. It would be great for people around the world to have access to it.

The performance was very educational and also very entertaining. They stayed authentic to the story but Steven added wonderful details that really made the story come alive.

We highly recommend this performance and this theater space to anyone!
