This is a wonderful addition to the activities Cooperstown has to offer. It is a very special place for people who like antiques and love NY

We went to the farmers museum a few times and always leave disappointed. Kids seem bored, the Cardiff giant is neat, but for the new generation 'who's PT Barnum" is the refrain. Went to ride the merry go round and had to each pay an extra dollar, really? They need the $ for something like that? Christmas evening candle event was nice...would... More

This was our first vist for the Candlelight Event. Frankly, when I write a review I like to be objective and point out the good and the bad and let you make you're own decisions. This time all I have are good things to say. Well worth the trip, well worth the money and we'll worth braving the cold. And... More

I enjoyed it as I come from a farming community and family. Would have enjoyed it more in warmer weather as buildings are not heated.

The Farmers' Museum is located across the street from the Fenmore Art Museum. A discount is available if visiting both attractions, which I highly recommend. The Farmers' Museum consists of a series of historic buildings which were moved to the site and now form a complete village. Costumed workers explain the buildings and demonstrate printing, black smithing, cooking in a... More

I have been to many of this type and it is among the best. Not only are the exhibits accurate and detailed there are interpreters in period costume to answer questions and offer an idea of life in that time. We especially enjoyed the iron manufacturing and herb garden along with one of the pioneer kitchens. The exhibit of farm... More

It's a great step back in time. I was there many years ago, and it's a little more modernized now. It's a great place for kids to see how people lived so many years ago. I highly recommend it. Because I visited in the fall, the colorful leaves were an added bonus.

You could easily spend the day here, this place is awesome! We spent about 3 hours here because we had other stops to make, but I have never been to anywhere like this in my life. This place is beautiful and it is so neat to step back in time and walk through the village where everyone is in character.... More
