Highly recommend Jones Farm!

Outstanding food and fun place to eat or browse the large gift shop. This is one of our favorite places to eat or bag a collection of pastries for the road. Chicken pot pie, ham and Swiss panini, butternut squash soup, grilled cheese sandwiches - all were excellent. Do not forget to pick up a dozen cookies on the way out. We love their coconut and oatmeal raisin especially. This is a great place to enjoy a bit of the country yet not too far from the city.

Visited nearby Storm King Art Center and saw this place had some great reviews and was closeby. Arrived in the early afternoon on a weekday and the place was pretty busy. There are some animals in the parking area. The store itself seemed to have some deicious items. Some fruits and veggies as well as some excellent baked goods. They had a wide assortment of cookies all of which were amazing and their apple pie was one of the best I've ever had. There is also a fresh food menu with some interesting items which all seemed great. There is seating inside as well as outside. There was also some seating the back which opened up to some flowers and lovely views. While in the store though, I got the feeling that this was a hometown/local crowd as everyone seemed to be all smiled and giggles. I heard "how's mom/dad/someone's name" a few time so everyone seemed familiar with each other. I though, didn't seem to get that same cheeriness. It wasn't rude or anything, but I would have welcomed that same attitude.

Breakfast

The first thing we saw while pulling in to the driveway was a pony munching on a pumpkin. If that doesn't start your day right, I don't know what will. We meandered around the cutest little gift shop, and purchased a few items for our cabin. We then ordered breakfast at the counter, and it was brought to our table outside. The views over the gardens, with the mountains in the distance , were stunning. The place is surrounded by flowers (and bees). My husband's breakfast sandwich was a monster! I chose the tomato toast blackboard special, and it was tasty. There is also a huge selections of pies, pastries, and cookies. After eating, we wandered through a little on site art gallery. The whole atmosphere of Jones Farm is very quaint and welcoming. I recommend taking the trip. You are sure to find something that suits your fancy.

Really enjoyed the cider donuts and apple cider. Didn’t stay long, but I’m sure young kids would love the animals as my 20 year old did.

I needed a dessert to take to a tailgate at West Point, so I went to Jones Farm. I received great advice for a perfect dessert. I only wish I could have eaten lunch there too...maybe next time!

Take time to unwind at Jones Farm
May 2019 • Couples
If you like to support local communities and small businesses, check out Jones Farm and treat yourself. Delicious hot and iced coffee pair well with all of their homemade baked goods (especially the connamon sugared doughnuts). If you are in the mood for a savory brunch you will be pleased with your options. Fresh fruit and vegetables will help justify your fudge purchases. Gift store upstairs with assorted treasures including jewelry, clothing, cosmetics, and household decorations. Barnyard friends on the property will entertain the young and young at heart.
