Free admission the week we visited. The pool was closed so we didn't get a chance to try it out. Beautiful park! We enjoyed the hikes and had lunch next to a waterfall. Would be a great place to hike in October when the leaves...More

What a nice place to visit in the cooler weather. We enjoyed walking the trails, cooking over an open flame of the fire pit, and an overnight stay in the rustic cabins. Just be sure to bring some extra padding between you and the firm...More

I love stony brook. I usually have no interest in parks of this kind and always get dragged along. However, this place allows you to get right up to the falls and you can walk the entire brook bed. I've been there twice.

We try to see this park at least once a year. The Gorge walk is absolutely beautiful and for young kids and teens alike, the ability to go under the waterfalls and play in the 'brook' with it's turns and cascades is so much fun....More

We stop at Stony Brook every year during our vacation trip to enjoy a picnic lunch. Then we walk up the gorge trail to see the waterfalls and the cliffs and the forest. It's less than a mile to hike from the picnic area to...More

When we went, we got ticketed for just taking a picture in the creek! So I would say unfortunately no creek walking, unless you're willing to get a ticket that will cost you $120!!

I love Stony Brook, but for your interests, I agree with those above who have said that Keuka Lake State Park may be a better base camp for you. There is a single brewery in Hornell, as well as a cidery in Canisteo, but that... More
